What is Private Five Element Acupuncture vs Community Acupuncture?
In Private Five Element Acupuncture, you will have full body treatments for Acupuncture points (Spiritual points on the chest, points on the lower abdomen-highly recommend for menstrual pain & fertility, points on the back—HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR BACK & SHOULDER PAIN), in addition to access to other modalities offered if patients qualifies and is interested in: Cupping, Gua Sha, or Reiki.
Many Acupuncture points treat the physical level of the body (ie. Shoulder pain) the mental level of the body (feeling fatigued) and the “spiritual level” of the body (feeling stuck in life). With Private Acupuncture, we have time to one-on-one, really dive deep and select points that are working on multiple levels to experience the deepest growth.
Community Acupuncture utilizes points on the limbs and the head only. Patient stays dressed and may share a large room with other patients. This is a great way to sample needles, get a quick seasonal tune-up (allergies, seasonal changes, etc.), or get access to a quick low-cost treatments for those who need it. Patients who are seen in Private Acupuncture can come and get their Element sources needled for re-balancing. "

My Specializations
In addition to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture, I have unique training in Five Element/Phase Acupuncture. The Five Elements theory organizes all natural phenomena (from macro-systems to micro-systems) including the energetics of: the seasons, emotions, tastes, colors, sounds and internal organs. The five groups that represent patterns and relationships in nature are – Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood. With the ideology that our body, mind and spirit are governed by the same cycles and changes as we see in nature. When elements become unbalanced, symptoms/diseases can arise.
Five Element Acupuncturists recognize that each individual is unique, and although their symptoms maybe identical to another person, the cause of those symptoms depends on the
individual.
